The University of Rio Grande / Buckeye Hills Career Center School of Respiratory Care is proud to announce that the graduating class of 2012 has obtained a 100 percent pass rate on their Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) examination. The CRT is the professions’ standard for entrance into practice for Respiratory Care.
The class of 2012 held its graduation ceremony on the campus of the university on Aug. 8. During the ceremony, students were recognized for attendance and an overall high academic achievement. Kandi Tracy received the award for highest academic achievement.
The School of Respiratory Care is an Advanced Level Program and a joint venture between the University of Rio Grande, Rio Grande Community College and Buckeye Hills Career Center. Students enroll through the university where they take their general courses. Buckeye Hills Career Center provides the core respiratory therapy courses and clinical experience. Successful students complete the program with a two-year Associates Degree. The program graduated its first class in 2007.
